Yaaay, I won a pair of tickets to see Black Milk/Danny Brown/DJ House Shoes. I'm a fan of House Shoes and Dilla so this should be interesting!
Last Friday I went to see Jesse Boykins at 92YTribeca. He opened with a smooth and sezzy cover, Prototype by Outkast. My hubby was hatin' but we both agree that he was killin' it on stage. He gave the typical R&B heart throb performance with his hair flippin, lip lickin Maxwell/Marvin Gaye like swagger as he serenaded a fan on stage. Yes, I said swagger.
I had an awesome time and I'd see him again if he decided to come back to NYC:-)
